Job Summary:

This role will see you delivering Master Schedule management capability across a portfolio of digitally enabled programs and projects. Its purpose is to support and enable identification and management of critical path milestones and cross project inter-dependencies in the delivery of digital solutions across.

• Applied experience with Schedule Management at a portfolio level, including:
• critical path and cross project dependency management
• reporting on schedule status, risks and issues
• assessment of portfolio level impacts in the event of milestone change or schedule slippage
• Strong understanding on waterfall/agile delivery methodologies and deliverables/artefacts
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Project Plan and supporting project and program management tools such as Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Project Online and Jira.
• Relevant training or qualification in project and program management would be favorable.
• Has demonstrated experience working in a multi-vendor project environment.
• Experience with guiding business strategy around project tooling use, governance and adoption across teams.

Client Expectations:

• Client is seeking candidates with deep expertise in Microsoft Project, including the ability to introduce proven tools, frameworks, and scheduling best practices. Please provide details of your experience in this area.
• Describe your experience managing an integrated portfolio master schedule across multiple projects and workstreams.
• How have you identified, managed, and reported cross-project dependencies and critical path milestones?
• If a project within your portfolio slipped by four weeks, how would you assess and communicate the impact on the overall portfolio?
• Please provide examples of how you have used Microsoft Project, Project Online/Server, and Jira for schedule management, portfolio reporting, governance, and executive-level reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance through actively engaging with project stakeholders and delivery teams, maintaining adherence to relevant project and portfolio requirements, standards, and policies and procedures.
• Define standards, schedule templates and associated reporting to be used by all Digital Projects aligned to delivery methods and needs.
• Work with project leads and key delivery stakeholders to support portfolio level schedule definition and management, including identification of cross project interdependencies and critical path milestones. Assist project leads with approved re-baselining of schedule/s where required.
• Review project and program schedules to ensure required quality and specificity, and support identification of any schedule conflicts and issues that will have a broader portfolio impact.
• Ensure cross project interdependencies and critical path milestones are appropriately tracked and actively managed. Supporting the relevant change request process where required.
• Create, manage and report on the portfolio master schedule including cross project interdependencies to enable visibility of delivery to schedule, and early identification of schedule deviations including impacts to dependent initiatives.
• Identify, develop and embed continuous improvement opportunities across the portfolio as they relate to schedule and dependency management processes applicable during the delivery life-cycle.
• Actively collaborate to share insights, lessons learned and wins widely with others.
• Be adaptive to changes and innovations in the digital landscape that can help us grow our network and support the energy transition.
