Core Technical Requirements
- GE Smallworld Expertise: Significant experience with GE Smallworld (Magik language) and its Core Spatial Technology (CST). Familiarity with the Smallworld Gas/Water Distribution Office (GDOWDO) models is essential.
- GIS Testing Tools: Proficiency in testing frameworks used for spatial data, such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and X-ray for test management and defect tracking.
- Data integration: Understanding of how Smallworld integrates with other enterprise systems like SAP (ERP) or mobile field applications.
Leadership & Management Skills
- Testing Lifecycle Management: Ability to lead the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including business reqairement analysis, functional testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Strategic Planning: Experience developing comprehensive Test Strategies and Test
Plans specifically for large-scale GIS migrations or upgrades. - Team Leadership: Previous experience managing small, specialized teams, often in a hybrid working environment.
