Ayan Infotech are urgently looking for upto 5 electrical graduate engineers for long term contract (contract to hire) job opportunities in Melbourne. Application Analysts will be provided hands on training while on job to be successful in these roles.

No specialised experience is needed except for a background in Electrical Engineering or some experience in an Electricy and Gas distribution environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
As an Analyst of the Electricity and Gas Distribution and Outage Management systems, this role requires: -
- Provision of Technical expertise to facilitate and execute support, maintenance, development, and continual improvement of Services DMS/OMS systems for the electricity and gas distribution networks.
- A high focus on responding to and resolving incidents, problems and requests to ensure availability, capacity, reliability, maintainability and serviceability of the solution at all times, in line with agreed performance targets and service levels.
Provides support to Regulated Energy Services division by undertaking configuration, testing and commissioning of new or augmented electricity or gas network elements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
- Contributes to the availability management process and its operation and performs defined availability management tasks.
- Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change. Applies change control procedures.
- Installs or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools including, where appropriate, handover to the client.
- Applies data analysis, design, modelling, and quality assurance techniques, based upon a detailed understanding of business processes, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions).
- Investigates minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures. Assists users in defining their access rights and privileges.
- Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services.
- Defines the software modules needed for an integration build and produces a build definition for each generation of the software. Diagnoses faults and records and reports on the results of tests. Produces system integration reports
- Actively maintains knowledge in the DMS/OMS Applications of the utilities industry.
- Ensures data reliability, accuracy and integrity for Customer & Energy Operations Team.
- Provides 24x7 on-call support if required.
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering / Information Technology or related field is highly desirable.
