Required Skills and Experience:
- Data Scientist with expertise in electricity transmission and distribution, as well as strong programming skills in Python, R, experience with Databricks & Azure services.
- Requirement is to work with our team of experts to analyse and model large datasets to improve the performance and reliability of our electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with business subject matter experts to define and develop models that improve the reliability and efficiency of electricity transmission and distribution systems.
- Collect and analyse large datasets using Python, SQL, and Databricks to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Design and develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms, such as regression, decision trees, and neural networks.
- Evaluate model performance and refine models as necessary to improve accuracy and precision.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure efficient data collection, processing, and storage.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and through written reports and presentations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning and identify opportunities to apply new techniques and tools to improve our analysis and modeling capabilities.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of electricity assets & networks and grid operations is a mandatory.
- At least 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a focus on electricity transmission and distribution.
- Expertise in Python programming and experience with Databricks.
- Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, R, Python to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
