Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect with expertise in AWS Cloud to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions on the AWS platform and related technologies.
The primary responsibility will be to analyze structural requirements for new software and applications, perform logical data models and schema design, and create scripts to build the physical data model. You will also provide guidance and support to Application Developers and coordinate with the Data Science department to identify future needs and requirements.
- Perform data profiling, data analysis and data quality assessment of existing data sources, EDP/EDW/EDLs and target data platforms.
- Define data migration strategies and methodologies based on the source and target systems, data volumes, complexity and project timelines.
- Document the high-level recommendations for consolidating and simplifying the data estate with an emphasis on Automation, Regulatory complaint handling of customer data and minimizing operational run costs of Data Management.
- Identify opportunities for data consolidation and simplification across multiple data platforms and architectures.
- Recommend data architecture best practices and standards to optimize performance, scalability, security and reliability.
- Collaborate with other Data Architects, Solution Leads, Data Engineers and Data Scientists to deliver end-to-end data solutions on the AWS Cloud.
- This pivotal role will provide exclusive accountability and leadership for the interpretation of client need, decomposition of scope into consulting, functional and technical components, and the formation of the approach necessary to deliver the future estate data operating environment.
- You will adhere to, and continuously improve, a standard and methods-based solutioning methodology (process) and define the requirements for automation (i.e. Generative AI) of the solutioning process.
- You will provide specific leadership, decision making, collaboration with existing teams, consultation with the client across our three stage solutioning methodology: Strategies, Realise, Operationalise.
