Job Description

Ayan Infotech has an urgent and immediate requirement for a Python Devops Engineer for a long term contract role in Melbourne.

All applicants must have full work rights in Australia.

Title: Python Devops Engineer - Melbourne
Location: Melbourne
Type: Contract (6 months + possible extension)

Required Skills and Experience:
Must have : Python Scripting, AWS, DevOps
Best fit : Cyber Security knowledge + Python scripting + DevOps + AWS knowledge + Splunk Phantom

Four pointer JD:

  • Proficiency in Python & Bash scripting for automations. Design, development & testing
  • Good understanding and working knowledge in AWS suite, Phantom, Automations
  • Good understanding of Agile development, DevOps and its toolset
  • Knowledge on Linux/Unix operating environment

    Detailed JD

    · Lead projects involving people of many different disciplines: system administration, networking, security, and project management.

    · Research and architect solutions to solve security and compliance requirements.

    · Demonstrate your working knowledge of security core concepts by quickly understanding the context of security-centric tasks, and challenges.

    · Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    · Demonstrate a deep understanding of operating systems, networking, web and API deployments.

    · Design and deploy self-service security solutions in the existing security infrastructure by combining Threat intelligence tools with automation.

    · Be self-directed in day to day activities and able to flex between various skill sets.
  • Implement devops principles and tools as required.


· 6+ years of experience in DevOps and software engineering.

· Experience in automation tooling for active and automated testing.

· Extensive hands-on knowledge of system administration and Linux/UNIX operating systems core concepts.

· Proficiency in four or more modern programming languages (Python, shell, C/C++, Ruby, Go, Perl, Java, JavaScript, powershell etc.).

· Knowledge of automation trends for operational security processes (e.g. Threat Intelligence,Vulnerability Management, Change Management, etc.)

· Ability to both work independently with minimal direction and to collaborate effectively with local or remote teams with a strong customer focus
