Ayan Infotech has an urgent need for a Siebel Senior Support Engineer to take up an exciting full-time position that is purely remote-based across Australia.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Solve complex customer issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies based on expert knowledge of the Siebel applications.
  • Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations.
  • Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes to improve the client experience with Rimini Street.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients seeking a successful deployment of Siebel applications.
  • Work closely with customers daily to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to for RSI to add value in our service offering to clients.
  • Assist clients with the optimum utilization of their Siebel application through best practices implementation advice.
  • Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations.
  • Be a pro-active contributor to a support organization running 24x7x365; this will require the ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays, and monitoring email outside standard business hours. Regular weekend on-call rotations monitoring for client production-down situations required.


  • Australia or New Zealand


  • Undergraduate degree


  • 10+ years of combined Siebel Development and Siebel Administration hands on experience. Consulting and production support experience across core application modules and vertical applications highly preferred.
  • Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with clients to create loyalty and fuel growth opportunities.
  • Superb trouble-shooting skills and proactive tenacious attitude toward problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of the Siebel Application functionality (Navigation, Menus, Assignment Manager, Workflow, etc.), Siebel Architecture, Siebel Development Methodology & Life Cycle, and Siebel Best Practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills - verbal & written.
  • Attention to detail with excellent listening skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extreme focus on Client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations.
  • Ability to stay motivated in an exclusively virtual environment.


  • Siebel Open UI Development, Troubleshooting, and Administration is highly desirable
  • Product Configurator, Siebel UCM (Oracle Customer Hub), CTI, Siebel Marketing, OBIEE and Siebel Handheld knowledge is preferred.
  • Siebel Application and System Administration: Server Configuration, Server Management, Data, Business Process, Assignment Manager, Communications, etc…
  • Siebel Tools Configuration: Business Objects, Business Component, Screens, Views, Applets, eScript, EAI, Siebel VB, Browser Script, etc…
  • Familiarity with Operating Systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris, and OS390)
  • Familiarity with different databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc…) and SQL programming.
  • Database performance and tuning experience.
  • Experience with various browser technologies and browser security. Web application development experience is a plus.
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with clients through usage of soft skills (communication, organization, relationship building, issue escalation, etc…) in addition to technical acumen.
  • Exhibit poise during pressure situations.

Preferred Skills

  • Business-level spoken language skills in languages other than English highly desired.
