We are seeking assitance from an ADMS Solution Architect to join one of our clients and assist them with a multi-million dollar transformation program in Melbourne. The role has a long term scope with 12 months contract on offer to start with.

Required Experience:
The ADMS Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Advanced Distribution Management System solutions for utilities. This role involves aligning business requirements with technical capabilities, defining end to end solution architecture, ensuring system integration across OT/IT landscapes, and supporting delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle. The architect acts as a technical leader working closely with business stakeholders, OT teams, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Design
- Develop and document the end-to-end architecture for ADMS implementations, including SCADA, OMS, DMS, and DERMS components.
- Translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into functional and technical design specifications.
- Define system interfaces, data flows, and integration patterns across OT/IT environments, including GIS, AMI, outage tracker, and enterprise platforms.
2. Technical Leadership
- Provide architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Guide technical teams on solution standards, data models, and configuration approaches.
3. Integration & Interoperability
- Design integration architecture for real time and batch data exchanges between ADMS and external systems.
- Collaborate with vendors (e.g., GE and others) to validate integration patterns and resolve technical dependencies.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of the solution in a utility operational environment.
4. Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
- Provide technical oversight during vendor evaluations, solution workshops, and design reviews.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
5. Compliance & Cybersecurity
- Ensure ADMS solution compliance with cybersecurity frameworks
- Support design reviews related to network segmentation, access management, and secure protocols.
6. Quality Assurance & Governance
- Establish architectural principles, design guidelines, and technical standards for ADMS programs.
- Review solution deliverables, configurations, and integrations for completeness and accuracy.
- Support testing activities (FAT, SAT, SIT, UAT) by validating architecture elements and data flows.
