Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with strong exposure to Financial Services / Superannuation domain and hands on knowledge of Microsoft Power BI. The role focuses on business analysis, data interpretation, and insight generation, working closely with business stakeholders to translate financial and member related data into meaningful insights, dashboards, and reports.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts, superannuation operations, regulatory reporting, and the ability to use Power BI as a tool to support analytical outcomes rather than purely as a development platform.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience as a Data Analyst / Business Analyst in Financial Services or Superannuation domain.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial datasets.
- Strong experience in Power BI for analytical reporting and dashboards.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, metrics, and reporting structures.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and finance teams to understand analytical requirements across superannuation / financial reporting.
- Analyze large and complex datasets related to member transactions, contributions, balances, investments, fees, insurance, and regulatory metrics.
- Translate business questions into analytical frameworks, KPIs, and reporting metrics.
- Perform root cause analysis, trend analysis, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
