Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Google Cloud Specialist with expertise in engineering and migrations to function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in leading complex, large-scale project migrations between Google Cloud tenants
(Organization-to-Organization).
This role demands deep technical proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically across networking, IAM, project architecture, and established migration methodologies. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands-on execution to design and implement secure, compliant, and highly scalable cloud environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years total in data engineering; 4+ years on GCP with production systems.
- Led end-to-end delivery of large-scale pipelines (batch + streaming) with strict PII governance.
- Owned performance/cost optimisation initiatives in BigQuery/Dataflow at scale.
- Implemented CI/CD for data workflows (Secure Source Manager) including automated tests and environment promotion.
- Drove operational excellence (SLAs, incident management, RTO/RPO awareness, DR patterns).
- Proven experience in Cloud Engineering and Migration
- Strong hands-on experience with: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Demonstrated strong experience in driving automation and process improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and logging
- Excellent customer-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate business and operational challenges into technical solutions
- Soft skills: Technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, clear documentation, cross-functional collaboration with Network/Analytics teams, and a bias for automation & reliability.
